Hansa Draught on 35mm film. A daring approach to modern lifestyle brand imagery.

Hansa Draught, through Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), asked us to pitch a new, outside of the box image style for their photo database. The marketing team were looking for an image style which would set them apart from what had been done before. Our pitch - go back to old school 35mm film. We decided to shoot the entire campaign with 35mm Kodak Gold 200 and Portra 400 on a Contax G2. The results speak for themselves. Candid, natural images, with an authentic, unpolished flair which truly embodies the moments shared between friends over a glass of Hansa Draught.

As an added experiment, we asked the models to take some in-the-moment selfies on a disposable film camera during the production. Have a look at a few of those images just below:
